MVP Shanua Martinez Gets Pick For Diavolo

A big CONGRATULATIONS goes out to MVP Shauna Martinez who has been chosen out of 2,000 dancers in the world to tour with the Diavolo Dance Theatre. Ms. Martinez is accomplished in ballet, modern, jazz, mime, and hip hop. She will be moving to L.A. this weekend to prepare for the Diavolo World-Wide Tour that begins in Holland in August. She the niece of my favorite MVP Phylliss Newman.

Shauna's hometown is Derby, Kansas. Her drive to dance started at the young age of three. She soon became a competitive all-around gymnast and later an All American collegiate cheerleader. She spent her summers as a collegiate instructor for the National Cheerleader's Association earning awards as a top instructor.

Shauna received her Bachelors of Fine Arts Degree from Wichita State University under the direction of Nick Johnson in 2007. While attending WSU Shauna choreographed a student piece for ACDFA which was adjudicated and chosen to close the evening of the Gala performance. She has performed with dre.dance, Joe Torry, and Sinbad. Shauna is super ecstatic be in her first year with Diavolo Dance Theatre.

Darryl Strawberry

If you get a chance pick up my friend's Darryl Strawberry's book entitled Straw: Finding My Way.

Strawberry is a former Major League Baseball player who is well-known both for his play on the field and for his controversial behavior off of it.

In his book he talks about overcoming his battles with alcohol, cocaine, cancer, women and money that he had during his playing career.

He is now a born again Christian and currently lives in St. Louis and attends Church On The Rock.

Strawberry says "Yeah. I gave up the houses, the cars and everything. It was the most remarkable thing. I've always lived a high life, but here it is. God has brought me to a simple life to do his will."

Purchase it the next time you are in a book store , it would make an excellent Father's Day gift for the guy who loves sports.

Here's 1 More MVP Success Story

I love writing updates like this one.

Congratulations goes out to MVP Pam Mattox who finished in firstplace in her age group in this past weekend's Wentzville Rotary 5Krace.

Pam is very dedicated when it comes living a more healthier life.

In fact, it takes a lot of dedication for someone like Pam to take70 mile round trip drive just to run 3.1 miles.

Pam has been a part of MVP Boot Camp for two years and posted awinning time of 33:15.

She says "I was pleased with my time, because of the hills. Whenthey were announcing the winner for my age range, they called outmy name! My friends and I screamed and laughed at the same time! Thanks Lyle for encouraging me and making me run strong!"
Not bad for a person who could barely run one lap around the trackjust two years ago.

MVP Boot Camp prides itself on offering a fun and challengingworkout in a professional and safe environment. Plus, YOU WILL GETRESULTS!

Two More MVP Success Stories

A big CONGRATULATIONS goes out to Lisa Schreiner and Marnii Peel who participated in the Hazelwood PTA Scholarship Run-Walk this past Saturday.

Lisa ran the entire 10K and didn't stop to walk one time!

Lisa says "If I hadn't started to attend boot camp, I don't think I would have even dreamed of running it. I appreciate your classes and motivation!"

Marnii ran the 5K and finished in first place for her age group with a time of 34:23.

Marnii's story is both awesome and incredible because this is the first time ever in her life she has ran in a 5K!

She says "Thank God for you..and I still feel so much better since I started with MVP. Some say I appear much happier and look better too."

Lyle, I strongly feel when you join MVP Boot Camp that you will enjoy it, and find yourself getting stronger, increasing your endurance and slimming down with each session.

The next MVP Boot Camp starts the week of May 18th. Enlist now for only $72 for the entire four week session. But hurry because the price will go up to $85 on May 16th.

Meeting with Pastor Jamal Bryant

Bishop Alonzo Johnson and First Lady, Erika Johnson of the Tribe of Judah Christian Church held their 2nd Annual Revival Conference on Thursday and Friday, April 23rd and 24th.

Friday's speaker was Pastor Jamal-Harrison Bryant from Empowerment Temple, Baltimore, MD.

Over 800 people heard Bryant's vibrant message on worship.

Hydroxycut

I feel obligated as a fitness professional to pass on this information to you.

You have most likely seen the latest warnings about the weight-loss supplement Hydroxycut.

The FDA is warning dieters and bodybuilders to stop using Hydroxycut because the supplement is "linked to cases of serious liver damage and at least one death."

The FDA says that the maker of this supplement has agreed to recall 14 of its products.

A lot of people have been scammed to purchase quick fix diet supplements like this one. Remember there is no such thing as a quick fix. Losing weight takes a combination of eating the right foods and exercise.
