Master The Met Results.

Last week I told you about Kym Hunter and Nikki Taylor who were getting set for Master The Met, a 42 story stair climbing race.

Kym finished with a time of 11:48 and Nikki finished with a time of 10:38. I also participated in the event and finished with a time of 7:27 for 38th place of of 907 runners.

I am very proud of Kym and Nikki as they accomplished another goal in their fitness quest. Kym and Nikki's hard work and dedication is what becoming a MVP is all about.

Reaching Their Goals One Step At A Time

On Saturday, March 7th, MVPs Nikki Taylor and Kym Hunter will participate in Master The Met.

Master the Met is a competitive stairclimb to the top of the Metropolitan Square Building in downtown St. Louis. At 42 stories, it is the STL's tallest building. Master the Met is a physical challenge, and believe me when I tell you this there is no other workout that can compare.

Nikki and Kym are perfect examples of what goal setting is all about. Both of these young ladies are incredibly motivating, and I have noticed that their self-confidence is building fast everyday.

Join me in wishing Nikki and Kym good luck on Saturday and remember you two.... is not running 42 flights of stairs, its running one flight of stairs 42 times.

Stair Climbing - A Great Way To Get In Shape

Stair climbing competition is becoming very popular, competitors run up the stairs of some of the tallest buildings and towers in major cities across the country. Stair climbing is a total body workout and burns about twice as many calories than any other sport or activity.

Stair climbing events also test your fitness level. If you think you can master a marathon, if you think you can master the beep test and if you think you can master the push up, sit up and 1/4 mile run test, then I challenge you to Master the Met on March 7, 2009.
