I recently had the pleasure to meet with New York Met, Gary Sheffield. "Sheff" is a nine-time All-Star and hit his 500th home run on April 17th to become the 25th player in major league history to reach the milestone.We discussed my two of my favorite subjects --- God and fitness. I found him to be grounded in God and family (his wife DeLeon Richards Sheffield is a Gospel Artist) and he loves to work out, but a shoulder injury has limited his weight lifting program.
He had a career marred with some controversy and is a lifetime .294 hitter and should be a big help to the Mets this year because across the board, Sheffield is a very good teammate.
